    Sabino Canyon

Good Morning!  I just tried my first class at Ride!  I haven’t taken a spin class since living in Virginia Beach a few years ago so this kicked my ass!  I am drenched in sweat and feeling really bad for the people sitting near me at Whole Foods.  Yikes. We did a trip to Arizona over spring break and as always, mama needed to get her hike on so we went to Sabino Canyon.  I don’t feel like we were well prepared at all so hopefully this can help you avoid the errors we made. Hanging Lake

Are you going to Colorado this summer?  Have you googled hikes in Colorado?  Do you live in Colorado but you’re still searching hikes?  Then you’ve seen Hanging Lake.  And you should go.  But there are a few things you should know first. I search things on instagram.  Yeah, I check the…

    My first post, y’all!!!

I’ve changed the title of this initial blog post like ten times already and I’ve rewritten this intro a dozen times as well.  I’m struggling with where to start.  So here goes nothing… My Dad took my sister and I hiking and backpacking from a very young age.  We lived in Golden, Colorado, and we were all over the foothills.  I attended Girl Scout camp where, not even kidding, we did an intense backpacking trip during one of the rainiest Colorado summers I’ve ever experienced.  I did Outward Bound when I was fourteen where we backpacked and spent a small amount of time solo.  Somehow despite this upbringing, I have…
